Last Tuesday, I got together with a couple of friends for an afternoon of picture taking, videotaping, (more on that later), and socializing. For one afternoon, we simply got dressed up and took pictures throughout the house.

The first time I heard this term was about 5 years ago.  It made me angry.  The label smacks of elitism. Of course, in context, it was used with a heaping dose of elitism. The speaker was criticizing people who, in her view, were not really transsexual. They were just playing at it. Or something.
June just zipped by, and it went so quickly, I think July got caught in the draft and was dragged along even faster. Point is, here it is August of 2006. It wasn’t all that long ago my friends were headed south for Southern Comfort.
