If they can do it there…
You can do it anywhere. I thought this was rather cool. Especially since I originally hail from Nebraska:
Instead of just rolling over and playing dead as the forces of fear and hate do their thing, some people are standing up, coming out and fighting for their rights. In Nebraska of all places. How cool is that?
I remember when Nebraska passed its constitutional ban on same sex marriage: a number of friends threatened to move to other states. Some did, others didn’t. But, you’ll never win any battles if you keep running from them.

You’ve hit the nail on the head, Jennifer.
A lot of us in the TG world may not think issues like same-sex marriage affect us, but they do.
My comment may not be in congruence with the original theme of this posting but the comment about same sex marriage made me wonder if many of us who are married and TG are actually in a same sex marrage. and how many of our spouses accept it that way.
I am fortunate that my wife realizes that I am mostly female and accepts me in many ways. She really loves it that in many ways I am more the wife than she is.
She still has a hard time accepting me fully dressed in public. Although, my normal “male” appearence is very androgynous. My hair is long (at least for corporate standards for I am a mid level exec at a major corp and can only get away with so much and maintain my job), we make jewellery and I wear some of my pieces every day, the cloths I wear are frequently very fem.
She likes the androgynous look and I like the fact that there times I am confused for a woman when I am with a group of other gg women.
It seems I may be rambling here but my point is that the world has no idea how many “same sex” marrages may be already in existance just because of us TG Girls.
