Chapter 23 – Shopping with Mom
Mom came to Chicago to help Savannah prepare for her first day at works as herself. There is so much to do in the way of organizing and cleaning out wardrobe items that are no longer needed that Savannah’s mom’s skills are very helpful. After a busy session of work on the apartment the ladies head for the mall to do some shopping for business attire for Savannah.

Sabrina Symington developed pain in her hands from the repetitive task of creating thought provoking and entertaining cartoons. She suffered for her art. It got so bad that she had to stop being creative and seek medical attention. After having her hands and wrists examined by a medical professional she was told the best cure for her condition was rest. So she immediately used her hurting hands to draw a new cartoon about her condition and we present it today.

It’s TWIT Time! The anti-trans laws passed by many states are meeting with resistance in the form of lawsuits. Some governors have vetoed the bills while others have had their vetoes overridden. Violence against trans women continues. Transgender youth have special dermatology needs. A charity in Oregon recycles old wigs and hairpieces. An adult trans woman in Texas is prevented from participating in an archery meet by the state’s trans athlete ban. Hari Nef has joined the cast of the Barbie film currently in production. RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 debuts on May 20. The Fantastic Beasts films are not doing big box office. Could it be J.K. Rowling’s stance on trans people? Some families in Alabama are starting online fundraising so they can afford to move out of the state. The Air Force will pay to relocated service member’s families if they are affected by the state laws on treatment for trans youth. I’m Published!
Not one to hide her light under a bushel Kandi Robbins gets out and about and is happy to meet and great. That’s how she began doing fashion modeling. She met Jackie Bertolette of Ohio Fashion Week and was invited me to walk her show. That lead to walking in two other shows, including in New York, for Victoria Henley. With the arrival of spring Christy Lewis has fashion advice for the working trans woman. “Even if your professional life has recently become hybrid or remote, there’s no reason for that to mean dull or effortless. I Didn’t Know Holly
Holly Boswell was an author, a trans activist and a force in the evolving transgender community. She passed away in 2017. For all she did for promoting understanding of transgender issues she should have gained greater noteriety. Today our TGForum contributor Sophie Lynne admits that she had never heard of Holly Boswell. Then she mentions a few other people that should be well known in the transgender community.

Beto O’Rourke wears a t-shirt that says, “Don’t mess with trans kids.” The California governor appoints a trans woman to the bench in Superior Court. Salt Lake City will host the next Olympic Games and Utah’s trans athlete ban will not be a problem. Ariana Grande pledges $1.5 million to support trans youth. Trixie Mattel is the owner of Trixie Motel in Reno. Caitlyn Jenner has joined the Fox News team. The Pennsylvania governor will veto the anti-trans athletes bill that passed in his state.
