Is it possible to retire from crossdressing?
Linda and her friend Linda were meeting via Skype to discuss their series of articles about the history of crossdressing in America over the last 50+ years. Our Linda prepared for the video chat by getting fully dolled up, as both Lindas normally did for these calls. Our Linda was surprised when instead of the radiant femme image she was expecting the call was answered by an older mostly bald guy wearing a man’s golf shirt and apparently a pair of jean shorts. It was Linda but she had made a decision that our Linda finds upsetting.

Louisa May Alcott may have been a trans man. Ohio’s House of Representatives honors Pride month by passing a bill banning trans women from women’s athletics. Two families in Utah sue the state over their daughters being banned from school sports. New York State will offer a new gender option on licenses and I.D. cards. A study in the Journal of the AMA shows trans and nonbinary teens are far more likely to be victims than cisgender teens. Billy Porter’s directorial debut premiers in July. Legalized Murder
Sophie Lynne examines the prevalence of the “trans panic defense” in the murder trials of men who have killed trans women. Supposedly these men, according to their attorneys, were so shocked to learn that the woman they hooked up with was trans their only recourse was to murder their would-be sex partner. Don’t Tread on Us!
Michelle Rogers is a conservative but she has had it. It is obvious that the continual attacks on transgender persons in the political arena by the Religious Right are aimed at one of our rights after another. Their attacks have no basis if facts but are all “fake news” meant to rile people up over the existence of transgender people.
