Eye(shadow) on Hollywood!
No outing. I promise. Well, no intentional outing anyway. Maybe accidental. (And to tell you the truth, I can’t even remember who it was I was going to out in the first place anyway.) But I do know that I don’t know why Jeffrey Carlson is not a household name in the TG community. You’re […]
Priscilla and Friends
Angela Gardner, my editrix, sent me a lead about a stage version of the film Priscilla Queen of the Desert, that came out back in 1994. It was a nice little Australian film about three drag queens who travel across the outback for some reason. . .well, it’s lost in the ’90s now. But it […]
And now…the news.
Good morning! I’m Ronnie Rho with your TGForum Newsbreak! From the British Isles, we have news of a transgender conference in Northern Ireland. The BBC says they have some high profile guests,
Men in Foam, Lot’s of Foam: Thoughts on Black Comics in Drag
What’s the deal with black, comic actors dressing up like fat ladies? In the past decade there have been several films that feature their male stars padding up (way up!) and slipping into drag. Yes, Flip Wilson started it all back in the day with his female character but she was slim and sexy. Great […]
Legacies Aren’t What They Used To Be
Today, Saturday, 2/10/2007 is two days after the death of Anna Nicole Smith. Already there is speculation – unconfirmed by the initial autopsy – about the cause of her death at age 39. Also unconfirmed – after five months – is the paternity of her young daughter. Today, none other than Zsa Zsa Gabor’s current […]

Hello! It’s great to be a part of this wonderful community resource. My name is Michele Angello and I was recently approached by Angela Gardner to throw my ideas and thoughts out to you. I have a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality (yes, there is such a thing) and about eighty five percent of my clinical […]
New Posting Policy at TGForum
There seems to be some confusion over what is an “article” as opposed to a blog post. We are going to be posting everything new as part of the blog.

No word on whether it works on adults…
BOSTON (Reuters) – The lavender and tea tree oils found in some soaps, shampoos, hair gels and body lotions can produce enlarged breasts in boys, researchers reported on Wednesday. These plant oils were linked to abnormal breast development in three boys, which was reversed when they stopped using them, Dr. Clifford Bloch of Pediatric Endocrine […]

Changes Today At TGForum
First, I want to thank all of you who have remained loyal to TGForum over the past two years. I know it has been difficult with all the problems we’ve had. We’ve had DOS attacks on our main server and we’ve had SPAM attacks on our mail system. Alaina, our Systems Admin, has assured me […]
A Word Or Two From The New Editor
Hi TGF readers! your new editor, Angela Gardner here. It’s been a long time since I’ve written for these electronic pages. Some of you may remember, if you’ve been around for eight years or more, that I wrote the Diva of Dish column in the late 90s. (It seems like another century to me now.) […]
The Holiday Inn ad
Do you remember the commercial? In 1997, during the Super Bowl, Holiday Inn ran a spot where the central theme was about a post-op TS. I’d forgotten about it, until MSNBC named it one of the worst ever.
A party isn’t a party until…
This last weekend, a friend here in Cincinnati threw her semi-annual t-girl get-together. She invites people from around the country and around the world to spend a few days at her home, having fun: It’s like SCC without the seminars.

The Academy has announced the nominations for the best in the film industry this week, so it’s time to look at the best transgendered films. Here are the ones I’d hand out:Â
Why pay retail?
If you’re not already in the know, let me let you in to one of the greatest secrets one t-girl can tell another: You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for your wardrobe.
A TG on TV, except online.
Well, I’ve gone and done it. I’ve gotten myself into yet another project.
Depression
In a recent copy of Reader’s Digest, I found an article on depression in men. It seems that men have a hard time expressing depression. Sadness isn’t macho, and so it comes out as anger, and sometimes violence.
