Last night Steve Stanton appeared on a segment of the fake news show The Daily Show on the Comedy Central network. The show is aired several times after it’s first airing so you can catch it a couple of times today. Tonight at 8 p.m. eastern time will be the last scheduled airing but it may be available on ComedyCentral.com and iTunes in short order.

The Daily Show makes fun of things but the majority of the humor in this segment was aimed directly at the residents and officials of Largo, Florida who felt Stanton had to be fired. I expected the worst when I saw the story but I found it slanted toward Stanton and sympathetic to TGs in general–while highlighting some of the misconceptions about transgender issues.
