While it’s great to have fun when you’re out and about crossdressed it’s important to be careful. There’s the obvious factor that you’re dressed as a woman and being perceived as female. That opens you to problems from predatory males. Then there’s the worry that you’re not “passing” and someone will get out of line. But the threat our anonymous contributor writes about is one you can easily fix. It’s okay to party but know when to switch from alcohol to soda. Let her experience be your guide.
Our California correspondent Emily Grace Fine was Out & About last weekend in Long Beach. She stopped in at two nightclubs that were hosting lesbian parties. Her first stop was Club Ripples for their “Unzipped” party. Then she moved on to The Executive Suite Nightclub for their lesbian party. Sophie Lynne made it to the Southern Comfort Conference this month and for her it was “living the dream.” SCC was on her agenda for a few years but something always stood in the way. This year it was SCC or bust. Today Sophie covers her experience at the conference. She attended seminars and talks. Ate hotel food. There was karaoke and too many cocktails. With the untimely demise of JoAnn Roberts earlier this year the fate of the TG community event she hosted annually on the coast of Delaware was thrown into uncertainty. We’re happy to report that Beauty and the Beach will go on this year as scheduled. A group of JoAnn’s friends and BATB attendees have formed a committee to help JoAnn’s widow produce the event this year in honor of JoAnn Roberts.
