Out & About: Kristin Beck Book Signing
Hey Everyone, guess what we were up to last Sunday? A book signing for former Navy SEAL, Kristin Beck. It was a rare daytime event. What? A day time event? Yes! It was a beautiful day for a poolside Sunday Funday at the Flamingo Resort in St. Petersburg, Florida, although it was a little warm. It was a great event for sure and there were plenty of girls and supporters — over 25 in all.
Kristin Beck who, if you haven’t heard the buzz, is a former Navy SEAL who came out as transgendered. Really, if you haven’t heard, this girl has been all over the place from Anderson 360, various media outlets and Congress, to the Pentagon, Google her! I am deeply honored to have her as my personal friend and to support her in endeavors such as this and you should be too because it gives a public face to the private struggles most of us have.
I understand she will be speaking at SCC this year, so if you’re going you’ll to want to meet her and hear her stories first hand. Please make it a your personal mission to actively support girls like Kristin in our community who are connecting with the public in an effort to gain acceptance of us. Your support is greatly appreciated.
