Dating While Savannah
Savannah is on her own working in Chicago. While she maintains a male image at work her weekends are spent as Savannah. Over time she takes advantage of online dating, both for transgender people and cisgender, identifying herself as a cis female. And there is a visit to her southern home where she gets some joyful news.

What do we learn today? Hobby Lobby loses in court. The Biden administration is fighting laws against trans girls in school sports. Meanwhile trans kids are growing anxious about attending school in person. New Hampshire doesn’t require surgery prior to changing gender markers. The ACLU is taking West Virginia to court over its ban on changing birth certificates. More violence is directed against trans women of color. When a school bans BLM or LGBTQ symbols nearby farmers erect a large LGBTQ Progress Pride Flag that can be seen from the school. A trans woman golfer is trying to get into the LPGA. Patti Harrison voices a character in the animated Q-Force series. Eminem’s youngest child is gender-fluid. The “Leave Britney Alone” video creator has come out as trans and changed her name. A Night at Reggie’s
Julie’s pal Niki was coming through Chicago on her way to a gettogether in Detroit so it presented a great opportunity for Julie to slip into her new black and white mini skirt and show Niki the town. Time to check out the menu at Dina’s Diner! This week Dina has an appetizer made with a couple of complementary ingredients she culled from our TWIT column. One is the multi-year lawsuit over whether a trans woman could use the women’s facility at work. She won. The other is a man who just likes to wear skirts and dresses and is fully supported by his employer. Then Dina visits Reddit and the subreddit for crossdressing. Some of the ladies there are scrumpdillyicious. Then she heats up some strippers protesting a ban against their line of work, seasons it with a woman whose art is recreating the fashion looks of days gone by, and ending with a suggestion for a timely Halloween costume idea. Longtime sports figure Jack Brennan comes out as a crossdresser. A court ruling says Catholic doctors do not have to provide gender confirming treatments against their “deeply held religious beliefs”. Lawsuits to overturn anti-trans laws proceed. Trans people are protected from ethnic intimidation under Michigan law. LGBTQ people tend to have higher student debt than cis hetero people. A perfume company creates new nonbinary scents. Transgender adults have more Subjective Cognitive Decline than do cisgender adults. The AMA recommends removing the birth sex from birth certificates. Weight lifter Laurel Hubbard fails to lift 125 milligrams three times. Nonbinary Canadian Quinn won gold with their team. An all-trans soccer team from India will compete in the Hong Kong games. Trans model Ariel Nicholson makes history as the first trans woman featured on the cover of the American edition of Vogue. Lehlogaonolo Machaba is the first trans woman contestant in the Miss South Africa contest. RuPaul does a voice acting job in a new animated series. Feeling The Love
Kandi attends an art exhibit opening and after having fun there decides to extend her Kandi time by stopping at a local watering hole she has visited before. Will her visit there be more fun or not? One would think that Dina’s Diner would offer lighter fare for the summer but today’s menu shows that Dina is dedicated to providing major brain nutrition to all her customers. Instead of some cold soup or a wimpy salad Dina goes right to the most flavorful and satisfying entrees. She mixes up transgender Olympians with bridal makeovers that will amaze and then mixes in corsetry and female soldiers marching in black stilettos. She wraps up with a solid dessert in the form of a former Miss Bum Bum Contest participant who has gone wrong. Check out Dina’s Diner for a full meal of fun.

Transgender HIV Sampling
Research into the incidence of HIV infection in trans women seemed to indicate that it was widespread. One study concluded that nearly 30% of transgender women were infected. It would be an appalling number–if it were true. Dana Bevan maintains that such high numbers are not representative of what is actually going on.
