A famous atheist has been stripped of his Humanist of the Year status for a tweet comparing being transgender to Rachel Dolezal declaring herself Black. Caitlyn Jenner announces a run for the governor in California. Cher is lobbying to be a judge on Drag Race. A gender clinic in England has a five year wait list. The leaders of Chechnya have been accused of crimes against humanity for their treatment of LGBTQ people in their country. South Africa introduces a third gender ID. Red state Republican legislatures are introducing a wave of anti-transgender bills. Restroom bans, sports bans, and banning medical treatment for trans kids—while polls show that these restrictive bills are not popular with the majority of our citizens. Meanwhile more trans women of color are victims. Legislation that’s good news comes from Maryland where one bill makes name changes easier and another bans the gay or trans panic legal defense. The Biden administration may take action to oppose the anti-trans laws being passed at the state level. An all trans cast version of Little Shop of Horrors stars MJ Rodriguez. A new film looks at trans man jazz pianist Billy Tipton. Disney Park employees will get expanded gender expression. The town in Poland that claimed it was a gay free zone is the laughingstock of Europe. A new book looks at how Trinidad, Colorado became a center for gender surgery with Dr. Stanley Bieber. In this journey to Kandi’s Land Kandi writes about the difference between reasons and excuses. Many crossdressers spend precious years locked in their closets using excuses to explain to themselves why they can’t express their inner woman. Certainly there can be reasons why it’s not possible to come out but Kandi feels that where there’s a will there is a way.

Right now there are transgender hikers walking the Appalachian Trail. Armed with GoPro cameras and internet connections they are documenting their long, long hike. Dana Bevan would like to be out there on the trail as well but the results of a trail accident two years ago keeps her from taking off on the AT for New England. My Life as Savannah: Getting Ready for the Ball
The last chapter told us about the process of finding a gown for Savannah to wear to the big formal ball. She is to escorted by a boy she has been hanging out with casually and her dress, hair and makeup have to be perfect for the big night. She has been practicing walking in high heels, maneuvering with poise while managing a floor length skirt, and anticipating the big day.
