To purge or not to purge, and what happens next
A crossdresser who was giving up her femme self asked Jan Brown to take her now unwanted femme wardrobe items away. Jan was amazed at the amount of feminine attire the purging crossdresser had accumulated. Jan thought she would just be able to get rid of the stuff at her local support group but the sizes weren’t right and not many of her fellow members could take much of it. Fantasia Fair would only take brand new items. Jan had to find a place where the purged wardrobe would be put to good use. Fortunately she found a solution to her dilemma and today she share it with you.
The Cedar Chests, Chapter 3
A mysterious farm house holds several cedar chests filled with vintage women’s clothing. The owner of the property sells the house to his son so the young man can have a place of his own. On a visit to the house while he’s renovating he takes his girlfriend and she urges him to try on some of the clothing from the cedar chests. The two get married and after the wedding the wife begins dressing her husband in the clothing from the cedar chests. Then she buys him more item of feminine apparel. Soon she wants to go out as two girls for girly fun.

“Veni, Vidi et illa occurrit” Part I
Our Linda Jensen showed up at an ‘adult lifestyle’ club the same Sunday afternoon as a young couple. The guy was crossdressed in a leather mini and his girlfriend echoed the look. At first Linda didn’t feel any attraction to the couple but their first interaction led to a friendship that changed the couple’s lives. The story is so big it will take several months to tell. Eighty percent of 14 to 18-year-olds feel trans people should use the restroom they prefer. A transgender comic in Pakistan is heckled during a show and on YouTube. Abbey the Cabbie is T-Boned and that’s not a steak
In this episode of the adventures of Abbey the Cabbie we find Abbey still shaken up by an accident that wrecked her cab and left her banged up. Her cab was hit by a drunk driver who had already side swiped a couple of parked cars. Now she is home with her cats aching and sore but she really wants to find the guy who hit her and drove off with a steaming radiator. But she finds her boss is becoming very interested in how she is feeling.
What Do We Mean by Authenticity?
Dana Bevan talks about the effects caused by the burden of secrecy that many transgender people take on in an effort to keep others from learning about their true selves. That burden uses mental resources and the behavior that trans people engage in while trying to stay hidden has a cost. Dana writes about the benefits of being authentic. A trans woman who won a seat in New Hampshire’s legislature and was not seated due to a criminal record wins a write-in campaign for Nashua Board of Selectmen. States pass bills to provide veterans benefits to people kicked out of the military for being LGBT. The first trans woman student graduates from a Catholic college. There’s an app specifically for transgender dating. The religious-objection rule loses in court, again. A trans woman who was once a rabbi writes a book. Hate crimes overall are down but crimes against trans people go up. Carmen Liu’s transgender underwear are taking off. Kim Petras billboards are aimed at the Westboro Baptist Church. Dina’s Diner 11/18/19
These kids today. Why don’t they pick a gender and start playing? In today’s edition of Dina’s Diner Dina Amberle puts a cup of coffee and a slice of pie on the counter and asks that question. Non-Binary? Androgynous? What’s all that about? She then stirs in memories from a costume ball, adds some Nigerian wedding ensembles, Japanese “mundane” costumes, and finishes the dish off with an appreciation of young women in classical music who don’t dress prudishly while performing. My Life is Great. . . But
Since her transition Claire Hall’s life has been good. But she also looks back on the years she kept her true self suppressed and mourns for the little girl who didn’t have the chance to grow to a teen and then become a confident young woman.
