Sabrina Symingtons “She” Episode 22
Last episode we found Kay becoming conscious strapped into the dentist’s chair while the weird dude she had run into in the elevator of her building toyed with a hammer and gloated over capturing her. He said something about how the dose he had given her would have killed her in the third dimension. It was so good that she as awake for what was about to happen. She was helpless to do anything while he outlined in detail how he intended to “modify” her body with his saws and hammers. Too scared to go on and find out what happens next? Or do you really need to know? And did the weird dude say Natalie was somewhere nearby?
One Constant in My Life
Our correspondent from Thailand has been out of that country and doing some traveling. She has filed a blog with us about what she, and a longtime friend talked about when they got together recently after not seeing one another for a long while. Both of them crossdress when they are able and both find it easy to present as male when needed and as female when they want to. After their conservation about their life’s journey Christine came to a conclusion about one thing she has found to have always been part of her life.
The Week In Trans 3/9/20
We’ve got a jam packed TWIT for you today but first we are sad to tell you that The Keystone Conference has been canceled over concerns about the COVID-19 virus. Virginia passes several bills benefiting transgender people and the governor signs them. A contestant on Drag Race is disqualified for behavior that goes beyond shady. A trans woman will do her Beyoncé impersonation during halftime at an NBA game. Drag Queen Jinkx Monsoon comes out as non-binary. States around the country are passing bills to limit affirming treatment for trans kids. A transgender performer has their show cancelled because Kanye West needs the space to hold his prayer meeting during Paris fashion week. Dina’s Diner 3/9/20
Sometimes Dina’s Diner doesn’t have enough ingredients on hand to do any fancy entrees. On those days when things are just too busy to order more supplies Dina Amberle goes through the walk in freezer and pulls out a bit of this and some of that and pretty soon she’s got a hearty slumgullion stew simmering on the stove. Just the right thing to hit the spot. In today’s stew you will notice hints of going for realness in black trans women’s hair. You might catch the subtle flavor of Rosa from Tiktok, a dash of found drag photos from Kansas City in the early ’70s, plus more than enough curvy cosplay (Picachou with cleaveage?) and some old flavors from Dina’s youth in Philadelphia. Mister and Mrs. America and all the ships at sea — It’s time for The Week In Trans! All the news from the world of entertainment and the arts that features transgender performers, artists, or themes. Today we meet Shania Twain’s tour drummer, the pretty, non-binary Elijah Wood. We learn about trans themed films in the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. There’s video for a new tune from non-binary artist Mae Krell. SAm Smith dons a gigantic red “equality” dress. Trans actress Eve Lindley gets rave reviews for her character in a new AMC series. Transphobia in Public Life
Claire Hall is a county commissioner in Lincoln County, Oregon. She was first elected to that position in 2004. She transitioned on the job about two years ago. Now she is faced with a campaign to keep her job for a fifth term. Two people with no government experience have decided to run against her, and while she is confident that her record will assure her of a win she is noticing a rise in the amount of people on social media who are starting to say nasty things about her.

The Cedar Chests, Chapter 6
“Claire” and her wife Mary Jo spent a couple of days in the city. After some fun adventures and quality sexual activity the girls returned home. Claire heard the door open downstairs and thinking it was MJ came down to find her mother. Miracle of miracles, mom didn’t recognize her son and Claire was introduced as a college pal of Mary Jo’s. After Claire got over her scare they settled back into their regular routine for a few weeks. One day Mary Jane suggested they should attend the gala of the Kentucky lady’s association. Which would require a couple of different outfits. The cedar chests supplied one beautiful vintage gown but shopping for a cocktail dress and four inch heels would have to happen. Today the girls take the vintage gown for hemming and go shopping in the city.

The director of Death and Bowling talks about the film and why it’s more than transgender propaganda. More violence against trans women is happening. State legislatures are fighting medically authorized treatment of transgender kids. Idaho okays updating gender on birth certificates. The student transgender runners being sued speak out. Michael Bloomberg apologizes for anti-trans comments. Democratic candidates all vow to reverse the military ban on transgender soldiers. Two thirds of our troops have no problem serving with trans people. Thousands of transgender voters may be disenfranchised. A trans man graduates from the Philadelphia Police Academy as the first openly trans police officer. You Are Getting Old When. . . .

Our heroine Kay found herself in a dark, strange corridor. She began to explore slowly and a dim glow led her a room equipped with a chair like you would find in a dentist’s office but this chair had restraints. Saws, knifes and other implements were arrayed on a table in front of the chair and as she noticed that there were “people,” mutilated and altered people, behind bars on the side of the room she was grabbed from behind and lost consciousness. Find out what she wakes to in this episode.

She was content with her life after transition but thought that no one would be interested in a woman like her. Sabrina Symington, aware that her current graphic novel project, She, might be generating too much tension people who are closely following the heroine Kay as she searches for her lost Natalie, has sent us a Bria cartoon that is positive, fun, and up lifting. Look at it before you go further into the twisted horror of the graphic novel, as a soothing counterpoint to all the suspense. Enjoy!

Sabrina Symington’s “She” Episode 19
Our heroine had screwed up her courage, entered the bedroom and suddenly found herself locked in. Then the lights went out, the carpet underfoot transformed into cold concrete and she knew she was no longer in the bedroom. A dim glow of light led her down corridors that she had never seen before and eventually she found the light was coming from a room. In today’s episode she learns just what horror is in that room.
Retro Rerun: Jailed for Crossdressing in Public
Our Retro Rerun today comes from the TGForum Archives from 1998. TGF reader Robin Jean Peters wrote a piece titled We’ve Come A Long Way, Baby. She told our readers that no matter how oppressed they felt about the social stigma of crossdressing in 1998 it was way, way worse forty years before that. In 1958 she made the mistake of getting out of her car to just walk around the block and hear her high heels clicking on the pavement. Robin tells you what happened and why she found things to be much better for crossdressers in 1998.
