On November 3-5,2022, Elizabeth Marie attended Center Peace “A Place at the Table” conference in Dallas Texas. The conference. As a religious trans woman Elizabeth was happy to find a conference that might help her reconcile her faith with her feelings of womanhood. After she arrived she found that it wasn’t just the panels and seminars on religion and transgender issues. It was the wonderful people who were attending. Just meeting others who follow the teachings of Jesus but don’t confirm to what most religions expect was wonderful. She reports on the conference and offers other resources for those like her.

Vermont passes a bill making their state a sanctuary for trans youth. 150 people in Oklahoma go to the state capital to protest a bill that would restrict access to gender-affirming care. Drag shows remain in the GOP’s sights. While anti-LGBTQ bills are introduced like never before over 90% of them don’t pass into law. Wendy Carlos won three Grammys long before Kim Petras won hers. D.C. Comics adds a transgender/nonbinary superhero. Ben Song on Quantum Leap leaps into the body of a trans athlete. Hungary passes a law that makes it impossible for transgender people to get legal recognition. A trans couple in India have the first baby born to a trans couple in that country. LGB Dumping Trans
Either by action or inaction the LGB part of GLBT is effectively dumping transgender people. The action part is currently most obvious in the UK but the inaction part is currently most obvious in the US. In Part 1 of chapter 10 Jennifer and Amy had a new addition to the family. Amy gave birth to a little girl, Andria. In part two time marches on and Andria grows, goes to preschool and tells her parents about the adventures she has every day.
