With no recent adventures to recount for you, gentle readers, Julie Slowinsky, our part time princess, delves into her memories and tells the tale of her “business trip” to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2018. While the business portion was wrapped up fairly quickly Julie was let loose seeking fun every night. She found plenty of it in the Steel City and shares it all with you in today’s blog.
Julie Slowinski treated herself to a solo Julie day. She started with a nail appointment, then took in some art, tried on corsets and did a pub, or club crawl. She caught some jazz, a drag show and more. She tells the tale of her day in the style of the ’90s film Momento, going from the end of the evening until the start of her day. Julie Slowinski is an organizer of the “not a conference” event that happens in Chicago every year. It’s a gathering of ladies who like to get out and do things in both t-friendly venues and regular establishments. They call the multi-day event Pinkfest. Today Julie files a report on what the ladies did in The Windy City. This is part one of her report. They had too much fun to cover in one column.

She knew that somewhere in the big city there was a place for her. She found it in a nondescript building with no sign but the street number. Now she plays at M4.
