The DOJ sues Florida for violating the Affordable Care Act. Transgender women finish first and second in the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships. Montana passes a law declaring that sex is binary. Dr. Jeanne Hoff, the first openly trans psychiatrist to treat transgender patients, passes away. Trace Lysette receives a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for her performance in Monica. Hunter Schafer to appear in a new horror video game called OD. Twenty-one state attorneys general support trans students use of the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity. On the other hand, 18 state A.G.s oppose the Biden administration policy that places foster children with families that respect the child’s gender identity or sexual orientation. A trans girl student showered with her classmates in the girl’s locker room and four girls file a sexual harassment claim. A Florida high school principal is reassigned, along with his staff, because they let a transgender girl join the girl’s volleyball team. Senator Ted Cruz is one of the sponsors of a bill that would forbid federal agencies from punishing those who refuse to use a person’s correct name or pronouns. Doctor Who introduces trans actor Yasmin Finney as Rose Noble in the first of three specials celebrating the show’s 60th anniversary. A trans man moves to Canada to escape anti trans laws in Arizona only to find there are anti trans knuckleheads up north, too. Things are getting even more scary for transgender people in Russia. PinkNews introduces you to five trans figures from history. Two trans boys file suit against the University of Missouri for stopping hormone treatment for minors. Mexico’s first non-binary magistrate is found murdered. A former Chicago police sergeant is found guilty of kidnapping a transgender woman and sexually abusing her. Florida wants to lift the injunction keeping the state from enforcing its anti’ drag law — the Supreme Court says no. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduces an amendment to the budget which would cut the salary for Secretary of Health Rachel Levine to one dollar. The United Nations Human Rights Committee says it is “deeply concerned” about human rights in the United States. A new study shows that the use of testosterone in trans men and gender-diverse individuals increases the desire for sexual activity. Marlon Wayans reveals that one of his children is transgender. It’s good news for transgender candidates, as well as for Democrats who defend transgender rights when all the votes were counted. One right wing group spent $2,000,000 opposing the governor of Kentucky but Democrat Andy Bashear won re-election. The courts are staying busy with lawsuits over anti-trans laws and lawsuits against the lawsuits against anti-trans laws. The U.S. House of Representatives goes back to work but keeps writing funding bills filled with “poison pills” that would take away trans people’s rights if they passed. Gender confirmation surgeon Dr. Marci Bowers speaks out against anti-trans legislation. A gay man sues the gender clinic he went to because they approved him for HRT and gender-confirmation surgery. He says approving him is illegal because it’s “conversion therapy.” Transgender people living in rural communities in the U.S. are more likely to have undiagnosed conditions which could lead to heart issues. Hunter Schafer destroys the red carpet in an awe inspiring dress. The company that owns the Miss Universe pageant goes bankrupt. A public official comes out as a crossdresser in a southern town and the blowback causes him to take his own life. Gays Against Groomers calls for a huge rally to stop the “war on children” and 12 people show up. A study finds that puberty blockers may cause loss of bone density but once started on hormones bone density improves to normal levels. Members of Congress attempt to introduce a bill mandating the teaching of progressive sex education including LGBTQ lessons. Indeed not only finds jobs for people but gives cash to cover relocation expenses for trans employees. The Canadian government issues a travel warning for its LGBTQ citizens visiting the U.S., especially those visiting certain U.S. states.
