Sports Illustrated’s Swim Suit issue features a trans woman for the first time. Another trans woman has become the face of Chanel Beauty in its summer ad campaign. Republicans in the Senate treat the Equality Act as if it’s a personal attack on them. Meanwhile more violence against trans women of color occurs. Two Republicans vote with Democrats to advance the nomination of Dr. Rachel Levine as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services. Trans actress Patti Harrison stars in a film with Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock. Disclosure is snubbed by the Oscars. A trans woman wins the Miss Silver State Pageant USA. Both D.C. and Marvel produce Pride comics for Pride Month. Caitlyn Jenner was the Phoenix on The Masked Singer but was eliminated. New Jersey passes a law banning discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. The story of Liz Carmichael and her three-wheeled car connects in an unexpected way to Fox News evening host Tucker Carlson. Pop star Halsey declares the pronouns “she/they”. Demi Lovato says they are too queer to date a cisgender man. K-Pop singer Harisu gets attacked on social media and fights back.
