In 2017 a newbie to the world of crossdressing had six crossdressed forays in a short period of time. That newbie was our Julie Slowinski and today she documents that whirlwind of dressing up and offers some advice based on her experience progressing from newbie to fashionable crossdresser about town.
Julie and a couple of her friends decided to stage a Faux New Year’s Eve party the Monday before the actual event. Of course there were preparations to be made, some shopping in the afternoon, looking at new glasses and picking the restaurant for dinner, the spot for after dinner drinks and then the addition of one more place for one more drink. And then there was the champagne back at the hotel room.
For a married crossdresser whose wife is aware but the children don’t know dad has a much softer side it can be hard to get out and have dress up fun. Especially during a pandemic that has many of a crossdresser’s usual haunts shutdown, either early or completely. Julie Slowinski is one such lady who has to plan painstakingly and in advance to have a few hours of fun. This month she tells us about a simple shopping day followed by dinner. Julie Slowinski is a girl who loves to get out and about. The pandemic has curtailed her crossdressing fun just like it has for most fun, but, after suffering with only one or two masked, socially distanced outings she heard from a friend who thought it might be the time to patronize a French restaurant they both like. Pauline Estelle and her wife traveled to Mexico to vacation at a membership resort. Their vacation was all wonderful but it provided a respite from the weather in the Great White North. After sorting out room availability problems with management they were able to get in some time relaxing around the pool and other such vacation activities. Julie Slowinski volunteered to be the dollar girl at a drag show, during Pinkfest. That’s the assistant who gathers the dollar bills fans of the drag queens toss on stage. Once she got a taste of showbiz and being on stage she was hooked. She decided she’d participate in a drag show. The only problem? She didn’t dance. So she took a beginning class in burlesque thinking she would learn how to dance. That lead her into doing a burlesque routine on stage in front of a big crowd. Lynda thought “What’s this?” but after corresponding with this lady from Chicago she agreed to go out on the town with her. Back in May the ladies who make up the staff at the online silicone breast market The Breast Form Store took a trip from the Vancouver area headquarters to attend the 2019 Esprit Conference in Port Angeles, Washington. Katherine Diaz reports on a “cross night show” in her hometown, Bogota, Columbia. What’s she attends is a female impersonation show called Zapatilla Dorada.
