FEM on the Links
Our adventurous reporter took a few months off to join the winter snowbird migration to Florida. While there she joined a TriEss support group in Orlando and took to writing a monthly column for their newsletter. Here is one of her offerings. The references are decidedly Floridian but the situation is universal. (FEM stands for Phi Epsilon Mu, the name of the Orlando group.)
Haters Have. . . Issues
An op-ed in the New York Times this past weekend put forth the theory, supported by some data, that homophobes are likely to have homosexual tendencies. Coincidentally Dallas Denny feels that transphobic individuals are probably drawn to TG behaviors — or there’s some other issue at work.

Our attention was captured by Glee last week when we learned that the show introduced a TG character. Unique is her name and she made her debut performing the song “Boogie Shoes.” Unique and her male persona Wade, are portrayed by Alex Newell. Watch her performance in a video clip.
