Canadian writer Linda Jensen is a long time contributor to TGForum. Before the days of the Internet Linda started her writing with the Transvestian newspaper. Her writing ranges from factual accounts of her adventures to fiction although frankly sometimes her real life adventures are stranger than the fiction. Linda is married to a loving partner who upon learning about Linda said, "she was part of you before I met you. Although I didn't know it she was part of the package I fell in love with. I don't want to mess up that package." "Does it get any better than that?" asks Linda.
Linda recalls a life-changing encounter in Los Angeles It was close to twenty years ago that I had the educational experiences of my lifetime. On the one hand I attended a major California university to study for and receive a Masters’ degree in my field of work. The course work was done largely by correspondence […]

Or they could have been two girlfriends who liked to dress in similar styles. Both were tall, slim and athletic-looking women. They were probably in their mid forties […]

Imagine that for as long as you can remember you had your heart set on visiting one of the so-called ‘˜Wonders of the World.’ Perhaps it was the Great Pyramids of Egypt, Machu Pichu, the Great Wall of China or Taj Mahal. (It doesn’t matter there are lots more than the traditional ‘˜seven wonders of […]

As a crossdresser one of my favorite things is to be able to spend a period of time living as my feminine identity. A full day? A weekend? Those are great. A few times I’ve been able to get away for a weeks holiday living totally en femme. The operative phrase here is get away. […]

What are the hallmarks of a “successful TS”? To put it another way, how would you score a person who has undergone gender reassignment as being successful? Is it because that person has achieved a convincing appearance in his or her new gender? Is it because he or she has achieved success and, presumably financial […]

Are you somehow part of the transgender community? Are you or have you been part of a support group? It could be a Tri-Ess, Renaissance, or Beaumont Society chapter or perhaps one of the independent support groups that exist in many cities around the world. My town is so small that if we had a […]

When I was a teenage boy my friends and I used to say that to each other quite a bit. If one of us would show up with a new outfit or even just a clean shirt we would chide him, “Look at him. All dressed up and no place to go!” That phrase stuck […]

What is the protocol here? You have dressed in one of your best femme outfits and headed to a bar like the Queen Mary in Los Angeles or Cleo’s in Montreal. Naturally you are looking and feeling ‘hot’. You attract a lot of attention from the men present. After checking out a few interesting specimens […]

Our columnist Linda Jensen brings us a cautionary tale this month. Ladies in the TG community sometimes do things they should probably not do and take chances they probably shouldn’t take. And the Internet can be an incubator for all sorts of thoughts about what might be “hot” or “sexy.” Is that online friend really […]
