President Trump issued an Executive Order, entitled “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.” It requires every voter to provide proof of citizenship, although such proofs are not only questionably legal under the Constitution, they are also inconclusive. Moreover, the executive order allows the Department of Government Efficiency to review the voter registration list of each state. Erin In the Morning has this story. Furthermore, The Advocate reports that President Trump has issued a new executive order which removes security clearances and other privileges from the law firm which is defending people who are challenging his executive orders that target transgender people. For creating a system whereby transgender people can be targeted and effectively removed from voting, President Trump gets a TWIT.

President Trump also accused the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum of “celebrating the exploits of male athletes participating in women’s sports,” even before the museum opens. (This story comes from LGBTQ Nation.) President Trump additionally cut funding for various studies which he said celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion, including several which study transgender people. (This story comes from the Associated Press.) For making his policies fit his prejudices, President Trump gets another TWIT.

In a hearing on whether to continue using federal funds to help finance PBS and NPR, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene accused the two networks of “transing children.” The vehicle she cited for this is a drag show, which neither NPR nor PBS air. For making up the programming, as well as making up the term “transing,” Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene gets a TWIT. LGBTQ Nation has this story.

A cisgender woman was fired from her job at a Walmart in Florida after a customer mistakenly accused her of being transgender. The woman, who is 6-foot, 4-inches tall, was using the ladies’ room when a man entered and yelled an anti-transgender tirade until he finally obeyed his girlfriend and left the ladies’ restroom. The only people in the ladies’ restroom were the employee who has since been fired and the girlfriend of the man who issued the anti-transgender tirade. The former employee did inform her supervisor, but official policy says that she should have informed someone even higher up the chain of command that there had been a potential breech of security, and that is the official reason for her being fired. For insisting that employees take this up the chain of command, and for the questionable practice of firing for a first infraction, the management of this particular Walmart store get a TWIT. PinkNews has this story.

Elon Musk is well known for his anti-transgender views. Recently, he wrote on his social media platform, “My son, Xavier, died. He was killed by the woke mind virus. Now the woke mind virus will die.” The person whom he is referring to is his transgender daughter, Vivien Jenna Wilson, who is very much alive. For deliberately deadnaming and misgendering his transgender daughter, as well as prematurely announcing her death, and for letting his prejudices get out in the open, Elon Musk gets a TWIT. This story comes from Out.com.
