In a moment which makes some people ponder about his mental health, President Trump posted on Truth Social his five goals for the SAVE America Act. The legislation, which is supposed to protect “election integrity,” would require all voters to show photo ID and proof of citizenship. It would also limit who may use a mail-in ballot. As we noted in the news, in his post, President Trump added two more provisions: “4. No men in women’s sports. 5. No transgender mutilation surgery for children, without the express written approval of the parents.” [This quote was edited to remove the all-caps from the original.] As we noted, some conservative commenters rushed to criticize this exception for “the express written approval of the parents.” The post was later deleted, and the replacement had removed the “express written approval of the parents.” For rushing to “correct” President Trump when he accidentally promoted parental rights, these conservative commenters get a TWIT. The Huffington Post has this story.

As we mentioned in the news, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced this week that the state’s ban on gender-affirming therapy extends so far as to cover “talk therapy.” For determining that being transgender is so dangerous that therapists can’t even talk about it with their patients under the age of 18, Ken Paxton gets a TWIT. This story comes from The Advocate.

Joe Rogan called transgender people “perverts” and again spread the lie about transgender people being responsible for so many school shootings. This exchange happened when he talked with his guest, comedian Steve-O, on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. For swallowing and repeating the lie tying mass shootings (in this case, specifically school shootings) to transgender people, Joe Rogan gets a TWIT. Erin In THe Morning has this story.
