New York Attorney General Letitia James has ordered NYU Langone to continue offering gender-affirming care to minors. In a letter to the hospital, she said that the decision to end gender-affirming care for minors violates the state’s anti-discrimination statutes. The Associated Press has this story.

Two trangender men from Kansas have filed a lawsuit challenging the legality of the new law invalidating driver’s licenses which do not have the driver’s “sex at birth” listed. Erin Reed reports in Erin In The Morning that, while voters in North Carolina and Texas showed up to cast primary votes for Democrats, four Democratic candidates in North Carolina who had run on anti-transgender platforms were all beaten in their primary elections by pro-transgender Democrats.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled this week that California’s law which prevents teachers and other school officials from telling parents of their child’s gender change at school is illegal. The matter is framed as a fight between parents’ rights to know and to determine what is right for their families versus a student’s right to privacy, and once more the right to privacy was the loser. President Trump posted on Truth Social to show his support for an extended SAVE America Act. In addition to demanding voters show photo ID and have proven citizenship in order to vote, as well as his opposition to the easy use of mail-in ballots, he added, “4. No men in women’s sports. 5. No transgender mutilation surgery for children without the express written approval of the parents.” That bit about parental approval caused a lot of uproar among conservatives, as the Huffington Post reports.

Last year, the Iowa legislature removed gender identity from its list of protected classes in its anti-discrimination law. This week, the state House of Delegates approved a bill which would prevent municipalities and counties from protecting against discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
