The Trump administration released a 162-page report on the exhibits at the National Museum of American History, a part of the Smithsonian. The report claimed that the people who run the museum “do not want you to love America.” The complaint is that the museum’s exhibits do not try to soften incidents of racism in the nation’s past, and are willing to show “transgender ideology,” specifically in the form of drag. For complaining about showing your prejudices as prejudices, the Trump administration gets a TWIT. The Advocate has this story.

Erin In The Morning has a rather lengthy story about Reem Alsalem, the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls for the United Nations. Her work was quoted in an amicus brief with the Supreme Court in its recent case on transgender athletes, in which she alleged that “6oo women have lost 890 medals in 29 different sports,” presumably cisgender women losing to transgender women. This is just one example from a long history of her work being cited by anti-transgender forces. For padding numbers to make a point, Reem Alsalem gets a TWIT.

Rod Joseph, a candidate for state Senate in Florida, says that everyone is “born straight.” He says that it is “impossible biologically” to be born gay, and presumably to be born transgender. He claimed that there are no gay animals, a claim which is refuted by many studies. For denying science in order to push his own agenda, Rod Joseph gets a TWIT. The Advocate has this story.
