A federal judge has asked officials in the Trump administration to defend their decision to revise early retirement offers made to seventeen transgender Air Force and Space Force members. The Advocate has this story.

Federal Judge Reed O’Connor has cancelled a hearing on a request from the Trump administration in their suit against the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. Judge O’Connor said that he would wait for Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to make his ruling in the lawsuit filed by WPATH to counter this lawsuit. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that states may pass and enforce bans on transgender athletes participating in intramural athletics, the two transgender athletes who filed a lawsuit against the state of New Hampshire have informed the court that they wish to drop their suit. Arizona Free News reports that the student who filed a suit against Arizona’s ban on transgender athletes has similarly asked to withdraw the case.

Charlie Baker, the president of the NCAA, said in an interview with CBS News that the organization does not intend to change its policy on transgender athletes, unless the courts say that they must. PinkNews has this story.

Last week, Florida Attorney General James Ulthmeier threatened an Irish dance contest because they allowed a transgender girl to enter the competition. When the state attorney general threatened to arrest the transgender girl, the other contestants supported her. However, this week, the transgender girl withdrew from the competition. An Idaho law which forbids transgender people from using the restroom which corresponds to their gender identity has been ruled legal for enforcement, at least temporarily. New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte has signed into law a bill which forces teachers to reveal to parents when their child expresses a desire to change gender identity or pronoun or name at school. This story comes from The Advocate.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a budget for the new fiscal year. It includes $25 million for transgender youth, who are being cut out so much by the Trump administration. LGBTQ Nation has this story.

Vera Drew, the director of The People’s Joker, is the first recipient of the Transgender Film Center Found Footage Feature Fund award. She will get $25,000, to help fund her next film, Trandemic. This story comes from Them.

A study by GLAAD found that LGBTQ+ representation in major films is down to the lowest since they started looking into it. The same study noted that there were zero transgender characters in the films that they looked at. Out magazine has this story.
