The Pediatric Academic Conference, held in Boston this year, featured one workshop on pediatric gender issues, and that workshop featured speakers from the Society for Ethics-based Gender Medicine and from Genspect. Both of those groups contributed to the policies of the Trump administration. For providing speakers who agree with the Trump administration, while not inviting speakers who represent a pro-science viewpoint, the people who set up this panel of the Pediatric Academic Conference get a TWIT. Erin In The Morning has this story.
A new bill in Louisiana seeks to replace all references to “gender” in state law with “sex,” as assigned at birth. For attempting to erase what few protections every conservative state offers to transgender people, the people behind HB578 get a TWIT. This story comes from Them.
A new report says that the security team at Madison Square Garden used facial recognition software and other AI tools to electronically track the movements of a transgender woman. The woman attended events at the venue for over two years, and was tracked the entire time, according to the report. The former vice-president of security says that the chief of security would show people a video of the surveilance of this particular attendee. For obsessing on a transgneder woman who was never shown to be harming anyone, head of security Jim Dolan and his team get a TWIT. The Advocate has this story.
