A federal judge has blocked executive orders which call for the defunding of LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations. While the court order currently only applies to funding for the nine organizations who are the plaintiffs in the suit, it could in theory be extended to cover other organizations as well. The state of California has filed a law suit to prevent President Trump from withholding funding from the state in a dispute over California permitting transgender athletes to participate in sports on teams which match their gender identity. The Advocate has this story.

A new poll from Gallup shows that the percentage of Americans who feel that transgender females should be allowed to play on girls’ and women’s sports teams has dropped significantly. An appeals court in Kansas has issued a ruling that says that transgender people should be allowed to change the gender listed on their driver’s licenses.
