Governor Mike Sherrill signed into law a bill designed to shield transgender patients in the state of New Jersey. Among other things, the bill protects the privacy of medical records for transgender people. The New Jersey Monitor has this story.

Senior U.S. District Judge Nathaniel GOrton struck down an attempt by the Department of Health and Human Services to force insurers to stop covering gender-affirming care for transgender people. Newsweek reports that the Log Cabin Republicans have withdrawn their support for transgender rights.
