NYC’s Jesse Volt Gets Living Legend At The Glammy Awards
NYC 2/28/07–This year, at New York City’s infamous Glammy Awards celebrating the best in female impersonation, Jesse Volt will be receiving the 2007 Living Legend Award.
Ms Volt is a true living legend who has been on the New York City drag scene for a number of years as a performer and hostess. She is also the owner of the online boutique TrannieGear
The Glammy Awards happen at New York City’s Webster Hall this Thursday, March first. Doors open at 10 p.m., but “drag time” dictates that the awards won’t begin until well after eleven. Everyone needs a few cocktails to loosen up.
Each year the Glammies are presented in several categories, including Entertainer Of The Year, Best Hostess, Best Lip-Synch Artist, Best Vocalist and several others.
The nominees for Entertainer Of The Year are: Amanda LePore, Candis Cayne, Justin Bond, Kevin Aviance, Peppermint and Sherry Vine.
Those up for Best Hostess are: Bianca Del Rio, Jesse Volt, Laritza Dumont, Linda Simpson, Peppermint and Sherry Vine.
Congratulations for Jesse Volt on her Living Legend Award and a TGF salute to all those who have been nominated. May the best Queen win.
