The Artist D knows love and fetish!

Is it love or is it a fetish? It’s hard to tell. Is beauty just skin deep or is it within the eye of the beholder? Being a part of the transgender world I often hear about people wishing to be loved for who they really are. We hear that in a lot of walks of life, but this one is especially so! Is the hot stud at the bar really interested in your brain or is he just secretly turned on because you are a girl with something extra? Perhaps he likes the thought that you used to have something extra.

It’s very important for people to feel that they are loved for who they are and not what they are. The extremely gorgeous people wish they were loved beyond their looks. The very wealthy are always hoping that suitor is not just after their money. The transgender hope they are not just another fetish. The pretty people and the pretty wealthy people feel the same way, but society doesn’t really label their looks or money as a fetish. Yet it is exactly that!

fet·ish

‘fediSH

noun

  1. an object regarded with awe as being the embodiment or habitation of a potent spirit or as having magical potency.

  2. any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion: to make a fetish of high grades.

  3. Psychology. any object or nongenital part of the body that causes a habitual erotic response or fixation.

I recently heard someone claiming that they wanted to be loved and not just be someone’s fetish. But what is love if it is not a fetish? In all listed definitions of the word “fetish” you find objects, parts, and vessels being highly regarded, respected, and adored. What’s better than that? It may be that people simply assume that a fetish is nothing but an elicit hard on, but it’s not. Even when it is nothing but a habitual erotic response it can still lead to a loving place of commitment. If it does not I must insist that is not a fetish, but just another horn dog.

The fetishes I have traveled and the people I have known continually prove that fetish can be or lead to love. It’s still a fetish even if you are looking for that comfortable creature to laze about each evening baking apple pies until it’s time to do The New York Times Crossword Puzzle (in ink). Your fetish is comfort. Your fetish is baking pies with someone whom elicits an unquestioning reverence with you for sharing the crossword puzzle.

There only needs to be a quick glance made towards a Master and Submissive to see the love between them. Most people call that just a fetish too. It doesn’t matter if you met your husband while he was being a coffee table, it was the spark which set the flame to your lifelong romance. You extinguished your cigarette on his backside and lit the love bonfire!

I don’t know anyone who acts like they are in love unless they were once obsessed with each other. Fetish can easily be categorized as obsession and love too goes hand in hand with obsession. Even the most conservative nerd starts off their love with fetish. He was so into her fascination with Shakespeare that he got hot.

Beauty is skin deep! We all attract on the superficial level because that’s where we begin. We begin at the beginning with a vapid conversation or a glance (if you can see) and perhaps a touch (if you can feel). We begin with an intrigue and a slight fetish to work our way from there.

I repeat and disclaim that if they’re talking about the guy or gal who uses you and tosses you away after a one night stand, then that’s not fetishes fault. That’s just another horn dog. So next time you look for love without fetish you may want to look again.
