She didn’t even know any transgender people. Then she made several mistakes that opened her up to attacks from some trans community members. On behalf of a trans friend who wanted to begin transition The Artist D! began to make inquiries in her town about where to go for hormone therapy and eventual gender confirmation surgery. Believing that her city was one of the bigger, more progressive areas in the USA D expected things to proceed fairly quickly in the search for information.
