As we noted in the news, the Department of Justice has panelled a grand jury in Texas to issue subpoenas for the medical records of minors receiving gender-affirming care. This move comes despite the fact that several judges have issued rulings stating that the Department of Justice is overreaching in demanding medical records which could reveal the names and medical histories of transgender minors. For pressing on when they were told that they are violating the law, and for increasing the pressure under such circumstances, the Department of Justice gets a TWIT. Them>
In Watertown, Wisconsin, the local school board told the band not to play a song dedicated to Marsha P. Johnson at their spring concert. At the point in the concert where the song should have been played, students and concert attendees walked out. For censoring a song dedicated to a member of a vulnerable group, the members of the school board get a TWIT. LGBTQ Nation has this story.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says that their $10,000,000 settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital includes a clause calling for the “creation of the country’s first-ever Detransition Clinic,” as well as a clause in which the hospital promises to fire “five woke doctors.” For demanding the creation of a Detransition Clinic, without proof of any need for such a clinic or any patients who want the services of such a clinic, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and his associates get a TWIT.
