As we mentioned in the news, the Federal Trade Commission held a conference at which speakers kept harping on providers of gender-affirming care as deceiving innocent patients and their families. According to Erin In The Morning, this event was laying the ground work to charge the medical providers with fraud. For insisting that the therapy which produces the best results is “fraud.” While those who produce poorer results are somehow doing better work, and for ignoring the science behind the studies in order to keep pushing what they wish worked, the members of President Trump’s Federal Trade Commission get a TWIT. ??
In Britain, members of the Kent County Council removed a book from the children’s section of a library because it has a transgender character. For boasting about banning books, the members of the Kent County Council get a TWIT. PinkNews has this story. ??
Earlier this year, the Trump administration removed the word “transgender” from the Stonewall National Monument website. Now, Erin Reed reports that the Trump administration has removed references to bisexual people from the website. It now says that that the riot only affected “gay and lesbian rights.” For rewriting history, the Trump administration gets a TWIT.?
Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador has told a school to get rid of its “Everyone Is Welcome Here” signs. The signs are referred to as “banners,” and it is said that their wording is a “political statement.” For insisting that welcoming everyone is somehow a political statement, and for insisting that some should feel unwelcome, the office of Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador gets a TWIT. The Advocate has this story. ??
Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Indiana said this week that it stands by a sermon which call for the execution of LGBTQ+ people by the government. For ignoring such statements as “Judge not lest ye be judged” and “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall have mercy shown them,” and for missing the fact that Jesus often was accused of hanging out with sinners while ignoring those who thought themselves to be God’s favourites, Sure Foundation Baptist Church gets a TWIT. This story comes from The Advocate.
