The Department of Health and Human Services of the Trump Administration has come up with a report which attempts to spin groups which fight for the civil rights of transgender people as potentially violent. This is odd, since the FBI noticed that violence tends to be associated with the political right. Ricky Schroder, who played Dolly Parton’s dad in two made-for-TV movies about her humble beginnings, sent a message on social media, saying goodbye to the music legend. Schroder began the message by citing a couple of issues on which he disagreed with her–specifically, her support of transgender rights and her support of COVID vaccines. At a rally in South Carolina for Senate Candidate Darlene Graham Nordone, President Trump claimed that medical practicioners were performing “reverse surgery” on transgender people, and he tried to claim credit for the new procedure. It is true that at least a couple of hospitals which shut down their pediatric gender clinics have started up “detransition clinics,” but these clinics specialize in social detransition, not surgery. Furthermore, the clinics are currently looking for patients who want to detransition. For making up lies as he goes along, President Trump gets a TWIT. This story comes from Into More.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senator from Michigan, reccently went on the Jesse Watters program on Fox News. Although Dr. El-Sayed tried to steer the conversation towards economic issues, Mr. Watters wanted to talk about the culture war, especially cchildren with gender dysphoria. When Dr. El-Sayed tried to show Mr. Watters how common phallic surgery was by asking if Mr. Watters was circumcized, the host first esponded that yes, he was, before he came back with the objection that that was a personal question. For not quickly figuring out that the question was personal, and for still not figuring out that the personal nature was the doctor’s point, as well as for steering the interview into the culture war and away from more important issues, Jesse Watters gets a TWIT.
