World Boxing says that all athletes wishing to participate in women’s boxing in the Olympics must undergo new testing, including a chromosome test. They mentioned Imane Khelif by name. For example, the podcast plays up the authority of the Cass Report, while downplaying the many, many doctors who provide gender-affirming care who say that the Cass Report is out of step with the reality of their experience with patients. A review by Erin Reed finds that the best part is an interview with the first person to take puberty blockers, who after transition is now just a “normal happy dude.”

The Supreme Court of Puerto Rico has declared that birth certificates must be allowed to bear an “X” as the gender designation, at least until they can hear the case. Without denying the possibility that the government may have a “legitimate interest” in maintaining a record of the gender assigned at birth, the court held that the lawyers “failed to articulate why this particular interest is furthered by treating nonbinary individuals differently than binary individuals.” This story comes from Them.
President Trump has refused to acknowledge June as Pride Month. However, the Trump Administration has declared June to be “Title IX Month.” Of course, they mean for June to be their interpretation of Title IX, an interpretation heavily influenced by President Trump’s Executive Order recognizing only two genders, and those defined by the sex assigned at birth. The Advocate has a list of reasons why LGBTQ advocates are not afraid of this designation.
New data from GLAAD shows that the trans community is the most targeted community among anti-LGBTQ incidents. This is something we thought we felt, but we are glad to get some solid data on it.
