Angela Gardner

I’m worn out. Our News Editor Ronnie Rho has taken the day off and I have been out all day long scouring the Web for interesting news items for The Week In Transgenderism. I am beat. I don’t know how she does it every week. If I had to do it regularly it wouldn’t be pretty. Fortunately for us all Ronnie will be back on duty next week and I didn’t do too bad with this week. I found articles on Tyler Perry, the dress up like a mean old black lady and make a few million bucks guy. I learned that Eddie Izzard is in an American television show. Not in a dress, though. There’s coverage of the Mickey D’s attack victim along with backlash, front lash and controversy. Lot’s of stuff about a lot of stuff and a link to video of Dame Edna covering the Royal Wedding. What ever you do, don’t miss your TWIT!

Next up this week is Dallas Denny with a cutting article on, well, cutting . . . and reshaping and modifying the human body to be more like the opposite of it’s natal state. If you want to know every possible procedure to make your body more like the opposite gender then dont’ miss Dallas’ Technologies of Transformation.

Linda Jensen joins us today with an interview with one of her fellow Canadian TGs, Natalie, who had a fab time at an event last year called Gals Spring Fling. The event is a yearly gathering of the TGs in Canada that is similar to Beauty and The Beach. (Nowhere near as much fun though.) It’s happening again this year in just a week or so. Check out Linda’s interview with Natalie and then Dust Off Your Passports! Canada is Calling!

Tidbits

A TS has been named to the board of a Lutheran group. Dallas Denny, Jamison Green and Jason Cromwell want you to participate in an online survey about the terms used to describe transgendered people in professional publications and papers. GLSEN is doing an online survey about how teenage TGs are treated in school. If you’re not a teenage TG don’t bother reading this item. If you are a teenager 13 and over, and have been picked on, bullied or treated right please take the time to do the survey and share your experience with GLSEN. You must have attended high school or middle school during the last school year to participate.

That’s our new content for today on TGF! Enjoy! Oh! Don’t forget the TGForum Event Calendar depends on you to add your events. If you are part of a support group and you have a meeting coming up or a special event be sure to share it with the other TGF readers by submitting it to the Event Calendar. The link is in the black navigation bar at the top of the page.
