Who’s Mom?
Liberty Storer has many cisgender female friends she has met online. Mother’s Day got many of them upset when they learned that their former husbands who had transitioned genders were asking to be honored as moms on that day. Liberty gives a report on the biological mom’s response to that request.
David de Alba @ The Winchester Theatre
David de Alba, the Cuban Legend who performed at the world famous Finocchio Club in the 1970s and ’80s brought his show to the Winchester Theatre at the Dondero Cultural Centre in Las Vegas on April 1, 2023. The show was called, If I Can Turn Back Time. David did several musical numbers with anecdotes and stories from his childhood through to the present day. Here are the musical highlights from the show. The full show will premier here on his YouTube channel later this year.

Missouri passes a bill that will deny minors gender-affirming care. Kansas City, Missouri declares itself a sanctuary city for trans youth. Nonbinary drag artiste Brigitte Bandit testified to the Texas legislature while wearing the names of trans murder victims on her skirt. Washington state is protecting the right of minors to gender-affirming care. Trace Lysette’s film Monica hits theaters. The Drag Isn’t Dangerous telethon raises over half a million dollars to fight anti-trans laws. There’s a new drag queen cooking show titled Drag Me To Dinner. A three game winner on Jeopardy! is a drag queen. A U.N. expert expressed “deep concerns” for LGBTQ rights under the current government of the U.K.. Eurovision features a drag interlude. A recent report from the U.S. Surgeon General warned of significant increases in loneliness. The transgender community has been dealing with loneliness for a considerable amount of time. Amanita contributed to TGForum with an advice column titled Ask Amanita. She is a gender counselor and activist who advocates for the transgender community. Her spouse is a trans woman. This post is about how her wife’s transition, which Amanita fully supported, caused changes in their social standing in their community. How they had to make new friends when the old ones retreated, and how much the discrimination hurts. Share this post with any cisgender allies.

Time for the news. A Missouri judge extends their stay on that state’s ban on gender-affirming care. A trans man activist is shot by a security guard. The Montana governor signs a ban on gender-affirming care. Other state’s “hate on” trans bills are now law. Several families in Oklahoma sue the state over their anti-trans law. Zooey Zephyr sues again after losing her first try—and she announces her engagement to trans activist Erin Reed. The Ohio woman who was prosecuted for nudity in a YMCA is found not guilty on all four counts. George Santos is an anti-trans gay man. Michaela Jaé Rodriguez will join the cast of American Horror Story for season 12. More performers are bringing drag queens on stage when they have a concert in Tennessee. J. The Shop at the End of the Road, Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of a trans fantasy tale by Kristy Leigh. It’s about a mysterious shop and a regular customer there. It’s one of those places that seems to never have any customers but all sorts of curiosities, and of course there’s an exotic proprietor. In Part 1 Robbie, the regular visitor to the shop, wanders around as if he’s looking for something specific. When the shop owner, Felicity, questions him about what he’s hunting for he is reluctant to tell. Felicity reads her Tarot cards.

Trans News Now 5/1/23
Legislation and judges placing a hold on legislation is ongoing. The DOJ sues Tennessee over its ban on gender affirming care. Zooey Zephyr, the one member of the Montana legislature who has first hand experience of gender affirming care, is banned from the floor of the House. Seven protestors are arrested following her banishment. The governor of Montana has a non-binary child but says that won’t keep him from signing the legislature’s anti-trans bill. Many drag queens go to the state capital to protest Florida’s new drag law. Hunter Schafer stars in the next Hunger Games movie. Evil Dead Rise features a trans male actor. Dylan Mulvaney speaks for the first time after the Bud Light kerfuffle. The Victoria branch of Australia’s Green Party will remove any member not willing to support a certain degree of transgender rights. Lizzo invited drag queens to join her at her show in Knoxville, Tennessee. That’s just a taste of the news you’ll find in Trans News Now!

As a result of this, some trans activists urge trans people to arm themselves for self-defense. Why do conservatives engage in attacks, both legislative and physical? Where Went ‘The Road Not Taken’?
On her way to appear as a guest speaker at a support group meeting Linda’s friend Sally was mulling over topics for her presentation. She was listening to public radio while she drove and was inspired by the on-air discussion of Robert Frost’s The Road Not Taken. She made discussion of attendees “road not taken” the subject for the night. While several of the ladies told their stories Sally grew afraid that no one would open up with a truly juicy tale of their “road not taken”. Then Melissa raised her hand. Her story is NSFW.

The kingdom was under attack and the invaders seemed sure to overwhelm the defenses soon. The king had no clue on how to stop the attackers but a lowly trans servant had an idea she thought might allow her to scare off the invaders without firing another arrow.
Living With It
Liberty Storer met Bill nine years ago. He told her of his desire to crossdress and she accepted it as kinky adult fun—even his fantasies of sex with men while crossdressed. When he proposed marriage she accepted and it wasn’t until later that she learned he was putting them both at risk of STDs and other threats by acting out his fantasies in secret. Many, at this point, would walk away. In today’s post Liberty goes in to why they stay married. Keep in mind, being a rat in a relationship is a separate issue from being a crossdresser. There are plenty of crossdressers who don’t lie and cheat on their wives with men they meet online. Liberty’s story is her and Bill’s.
