Today we learn that federal authorities have given an Illinois school 30 days to let a trans girl use the girl’s locker room. The Union for Reform Judaism supports the trans community. The Peach State Conference
When Southern Comfort pulled up stakes and moved to Florida many of the people in the Atlanta area who had volunteered and done work for that conference were left with skills in conference producing that were no longer needed. The Transgender Health Education Alliance stepped in the produce a new conference with a focus on trans health and improving the lives of LGBTQ people. Dana Bevan reports on how the conference turned out.
Basic Time Management for Crossdressers
Many crossdressers have busy lives full of duties and obligations that preclude dressing up for fun on a regular basis. Holiday Season Approaching
Now that Halloween is done people begin to turn their attention to the other holidays that are more family oriented. Thanksgiving and Christmas are approaching. For many people these holidays with with family focus are not joyful. They can be lonely and painful. Especially in the case of people who have been rejected by their families because of who they are. Sophie Lynne has a suggestion that may help some people through the holiday season.
The Occasional Woman: Plan Now For Next Halloween
Lorraine Anderson, proprietor of The Occasional Woman seamstress service, has been so busy all of October that she found herself the day before Halloween without a costume of her own for the big night. Being good with deadlines she went to a costume shop for inspiration and came out with an idea that she managed to sew together in one day. She recommends that you take a bit longer to design your costume for next Halloween.

David de Alba Interviews Carmen del Rio
David de Alba graciously allows us to re-publish his celebrity interviews. In October of 2000 David conducted the following interview with Carmen. What have we been watching in the news? Lots and lots of trans news items. We learn that Nicole Maines and her family are the subjects of a new book. Puerto Rican schoolboys are allowed to wear girl’s uniforms. Conservatives in Canada are blocking passage of rights legislation for trans people. The TSA’s treatment of a trans woman is causing changes at the agency. Isis King was featured in Teen Vogue. Canada’s Girl Guides accept trans girls. Linda Gray portrayed one of the first TS roles on TV. There’s even more but it won’t fit in the allotted space. We haven’t even mentioned the TWIT Awards!
