Good news from Cincy
The City Council approved a measure that adds gay, lesbian and transgender to the Human Rights Ordinance. A subcommittee took testimony on Tuesday before sending the bill to the full council. One of the first people to testify in favor of the measure?
Paula Ison, local transsexual. She answered criticism that GLBT people did not face enough discrimination to warrant such a law. And this is not the first time she’s gone into battle for the rest of us.
Way to stand proud, Paula! You’re an inspiration!
