We will make an important announcement February 1st concerning TGForum. There will be some changes coming and I hope that you will be pleased to see that we are working to restore TGF as your “home” on the Net. Thanks for your patience and loyalty. I think you will like what you will hear on February 1st.

About the Author ()

I am a writer, editor and educator. I was one of the 5 founders of the Renaissance Transgender Education Assoc., and have served on the boards of IFGE and AEGIS. I've published several books on CD/TS/TG subjects. My how-to books are available at the CDS Bookstand (www.cdspub.com). I am most proud of "Coping With Crossdressing: Tools and Strategies for Couples in Committed Relationships". I was an early TG political activist and one of the co-founders of GenderPAC. I wrote and published a Bill of Gender Rights in December 1990. I've appeared on several television shows and in the movie "All Dressed Up And Nowhere To Go". I published "LadyLike" magazine for 18 years, as well as "EnFemme" magazine and "International TranScript". (JoAnn passed away in June of 2013.)

To Jane: I’m not sure how you are viewing the “What’s New” page but I see 9 posts since January 1st. However, I get your point: there hasn’t been much going on at TGF for quite some time.

To Cassie and Linda: I appreciate your loyalty to TGF. We are not going to let TGF fade away and that’s where it was headed. We have new things planned and it will all be detailed next week. After it’s all explained, then you can decide if you want to stay or drop out. I am aware some former members and writers have set up competing sites. However, I don’t think that you can find anything like TGF anywhere else. No one else gives you email, web space, a BBS, a Chat room, and tries to entertain you as well. No other site can ever begin to have a library as deep as TGF’s since we’ve been online now for 13 years. That’s a huge cache of materials.

To Everyone: Please be patient one more week and listen to what we have to say on Feb. 1st.

I am looking forward to seeing what will happen. I have the feeling that tgForum is on the verge of burnout. It happened to Gateway Gender Alliance (my first exposure to TG support publications) so we can expect it anywhere.
For years TGForum was a Monday morning ‘must read’ for me. Lately I’ve been letting it slide and little has been missed. I miss the hey days of the service and would have been happy if they had just reprinted some of the better articles from the last ten years. At one time there were so many good writers that I couldn’t read all the material in one go. Reprints, like TV re-runs, would give me a chance to catch up.
(I also miss the feeling I would get when I received an e-mail from someone who had read one of my articles and wanted to compliment me. Made some nice friendships through TGF)

    Great news, JoAnn!

I understand that nature abhors a vacuum. Nevertheless, I’ve been sorry to see several competing e-magazines, some owned by former active members and contributors to TGForum, actively working to siphon off your subscribers.

“Make new friends, but keep the old…”

I, like many of us I’m sure, would hate to seen an ol’friend like TGForum wither away.

    Love,

    Cassie
