Change Is In The Air

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! This is a dangerous time of year due to all of the holiday dinners with high calorie side dishes and rich desserts. It’s tough to watch your waistline but if you remain vigilant and turn down seconds, thirds– and fourths —  you should still fit into your clothes come January. Remember, only one helping!

Today we have made some changes to the presentation. You may note that when you first arrive at TGForum.com you get the Home Page layout with all the stories and the headline slider. This has been done so you can see the content right away. (New content can now be added when there is an important story you need to read between Monday publications.) And, as you’ve already learned if you’re reading this, clicking on any of the stories will make the site ask you to log in. You can log in when you first hit the page by using the Log in field to the right side of the page.

In the black menu bar at the top of the page you’ll see a link labelled Private Messages. This is a page that lets you communicate with other TGF users. More info on this will be coming soon. We’ll also be installing one on one Chat and a new improved Chat Room function. An improved Discussion Board is also in the works.

At this time there are some features, under the Services menu, that require you to log in twice. The Art Archives, User Photo Galleries, Personals and User Profiles all need the double log in.  We’re working on moving those items so that a second log in is not required.

We ask you to take a moment or two while you’re logged in to TGF to update your Profile. Go to Edit Your Account in the black menu bar and pull down to My Profile. Fill in as much information as you want to share. We recommend adding your photo to your Profile using Gravatar. Gravatar is a site that links your avatar photo to your email address. Make certain that you use the email address you are registered with here at TGF to create an account at Gravatar. Upload whatever photo or graphic you would like to use as your online avatar for that email address and it will appear on any Gravatar enabled websites that you use.

Also please take a few moments to fill out our online survey. This is very important. People sign up for TGForum for a variety of reasons, and to better serve everyone with site improvements and enhancements we need to know what you signed up for. Filling out the survey is completely anonymous and will help us make TGF a richer experience for everyone. The survey is located HERE. Click on over and fill it out.
