Archaeologists study the past by examining the burial places of people who lived long ago. Skeletal differences are a part if what allows identification of the deceased’s gender. Taken with other factors the archeologist can make a good guess regarding gender presentation. But some people, mostly haters, don’t understand the science. Sabrina Symington developed pain in her hands from the repetitive task of creating thought provoking and entertaining cartoons. She suffered for her art. It got so bad that she had to stop being creative and seek medical attention. After having her hands and wrists examined by a medical professional she was told the best cure for her condition was rest. So she immediately used her hurting hands to draw a new cartoon about her condition and we present it today.

Today’s video from Sabrina Symington is not intended to produce humor. Recently she has been so stressed out that she is in actual pain, which is keeping her from doing art. The video is of a monologue in which she recounts a strange dream. Then she examines the features of the dream and realizes it is something caused by her stress. Stress that she experiences because she has been holding on to things that should no longer be internalized. Stuff that should be let go.

In this lesson Sabrina focuses on another method of training: Staccato — hitting a note in a repeated sharp effort. It helps hammer home your ability to perform said note, as well as trains your ability to suddenly stop and start, which will allow you to more easily flow between tight and relaxed, high pitch and low pitch, and blend your voice into whatever you want it to be.
