Jan is actively involved in the transgender community in NYS and Florida where she snowbirds. Jan co-founded her local TG support group, Mid-Hudson Valley Transgender Association (MHVTA) in 2000 and gets out in her various communities (including retail therapy, dining out, and visiting places of interest). She has presented at various TG events including Fantasia Fair, IFGE, Southern Comfort, Be-All, First Event, Liberty and Empire) and was part of the Fantasia Fair organizing committee for several years focusing on programming and advertising.

To purge or not to purge, and what happens next

A crossdresser who was giving up her femme self asked Jan Brown to take her now unwanted femme wardrobe items away. Jan was amazed at the amount of feminine attire the purging crossdresser had accumulated. Jan thought she would just be able to get rid of the stuff at her local support group but the sizes weren’t right and not many of her fellow members could take much of it. Fantasia Fair would only take brand new items. Jan had to find a place where the purged wardrobe would be put to good use. Fortunately she found a solution to her dilemma and today she share it with you.

Jan Goes to a Trans Film Festival, Again!

Last year Jan Brown attended the 31st Annual Connecticut LGBTQ Film Festival and wrote a report for TGForum. Last week she attended the 32nd annual event and today she shares the experience with you along with her impression of the 9 films that had transgender themes. Several of the films were premiering at the festival. The nine films range from three minutes to eighteen minutes in length. Jan and her companion were both touched by the content of all of the productions.

Last week Jan Brown and some of her friends attended the Out Films CT festival at Trinity College in West Hartford. They were there to see the short films with transgender themes. Seven films from all over the world were featured. All were from twelve to thirty minutes in length and covered various perspectives on transgender issues. Credit En Femme

But recently a problem cropped up when the credit card company felt they needed to know more about Jan Brown. They requested more information than was formerly required. Review — Casa Valentina

It’s the story of the crossdresser resort in the Catskill Mountains in 1962 where Virginia Prince proposed the creation of Tri-Ess.
