Sure, it’s a line from an ancient game show but it still serves the purpose — to let you know there’s new content today on TGForum!

We begin with our signature distillation of the transgender news that made headlines last week — The Week In Transgenderism. This week we’ve got links to an interview with TG supermodel Andrej Pejic (I’ve got such a crush on her! I’m like a silly schoolgirl.), the settlement in Philly that makes sure TG youth are treated decently in the city’s youth programs, the capture of the Chilean immigrant’s murderer, David Hasselhoff with drag queens in bathing suits, more on TSA treatment of transgender people, and a whole lot more. For the most up to date collection of TG news don’t miss your TWIT!

Dallas Denny joins us this week with an article about The Standards of Care. First is a series of articles on the history of The Standards Dallas begins with a rundown of how The Standards of Care were first conceived and how they have evolved since that time. Dallas is not an outside observer. She was consulted on the fifth edition of The Standards in 2001. She brings her inside knowledge and powers of observation to bear on the subject and if you’re interested in transition you will benefit from reading WPATH and The Standards of Care.

The National Center for Transgender Equality has been busy putting together a resource for transgender people on Medicare. Did you know that hormones are covered? Does your doctor know? The NCTE resource can be downloaded, printed out and given to your doctor so they know how to get what you need covered by Medicare. For all the details and download link read NCTE Offer Medicare Benefits Guide For TGs.

Linda Jensen has exciting news. As you may know if you read her column last month she lost her job in Canada and decided to become a personal shopper for TGs who were reluctant to shop for themselves. Well, Linda tells us that the business has just taken off and based on it’s success she decided to attract investors and expand. She submitted her business model to The Shark Tank program and the millionaire sharks decided to have her on the show to explain her concept. Oddly enough, one of the sharks will be familiar to TGF readers. How did she get to be a shark? Only one way to find out who she is, if Linda got her investment funds, and if one of her shopping consultants will be working your area soon — read Linda Jensen in The Shark Tank.

That’s our offering for today. Always read responsibly. Don’t read and drive! Enjoy!
