First is a series of articles on the history of The Standards Dallas begins with a rundown of how The Standards of Care were first conceived and how they have evolved since that time. Dallas is not an outside observer. She was consulted on the fifth edition of The Standards in 2001. The National Center for Transgender Equality has been busy putting together a resource for transgender people on Medicare. Did you know that hormones are covered? Does your doctor know? The NCTE resource can be downloaded, printed out and given to your doctor so they know how to get what you need covered by Medicare. Linda Jensen has exciting news. As you may know if you read her column last month she lost her job in Canada and decided to become a personal shopper for TGs who were reluctant to shop for themselves. Well, Linda tells us that the business has just taken off and based on it’s success she decided to attract investors and expand. She submitted her business model to The Shark Tank program and the millionaire sharks decided to have her on the show to explain her concept. Oddly enough, one of the sharks will be familiar to TGF readers. How did she get to be a shark?
