David de Alba, The Cuban Legend, settled in Las Vegas after his successful career as a female impersonator in San Francisco. David and his mother Tila were very close and she lived with him there after her husband passed away. Now that David’s mother has passed he talks about her and her influence in his life in the video that is appropriate as Mother’s Day 2016 has just gone by. After you view the video visit the Perpetual Change column for an interview with David. And BTW, David’s birthday is May 20. Send him a happy birthday email.

  1. Dear David — What a nice tribute. Your mother was a wonderful woman and somebody you will always miss.I know she was an inspiration for you and I also know she would be so proud of your accomplishments. I wish I could have met her. Love, Carollyn

  2. Yesterday (Mother’s Day), I had the pleasure of sharing dinner with David. Tila’s influence on David and his fond remembrance of her is very touching!

    Bless you David!

    Love,

    Michelle
