As we mentioned in the news, the Heritage Foundation has come out with the idea that transgender people are “terrorists.” We are to blame for the death of Charlie Kirk, somehow-even though, at most, one transgender person had a role in “radicalizing” the killer, and that presumes that the killer was ever radicalized, and further presumes that the person responsible for the radicalization was transgender. Neither presumption is evident from the facts so far, few though they are. For jumping to conclusions without evidence, for presuming that the killer of your friend must be a particular enemy, and for rushing to use the killing of one of your own to brand others as “terrorists,” the Heritage Foundation, and those who accept their condemnation of transgender people, get a TWIT. This story comes from Them.
As if to debunk the Heritage Foundation, as indeed it does debunk them, even though it predates their declaration of transgender people as “terrorists,” FactCheck.org found that very few mass shooters have been transgender. Every pundit who claims that transgender people are responsible for so many mass shootings shares a TWIT.
Michigan state Representative Josh Schriver has introduced a bill which would allegedly ban all pornography on the Internet which depicts transgender people. Unfortunately, his bill is so broad that it would outlaw all depictions of transgender people online. The bill would criminalize any material which includes “a disconnection between biology and gender.” For trying to stop any person in the state from seeing a picture of a transgender person, even if clothed, and for wasting the time of the state House of Representatives on legislation which the state Senate will not take up, state Representative Josh Schriver gets a TWIT. PrideSource has this story.
U.S. Representatives Nancy Mace and Ronny Jackson have called for transgender people to be “institutionalized” as “domestic terrorists.” Representative Mace in particular said that transgender people “are violently ill and should be in a straitjacket with a hard steel lock on it.” Representative Jackson, a doctor, said that transgender people have “legitimate psychiatric issues,” and added that “we have to do something about this, we have to get these people off the streets and we have to get them off the internet and we can’t let them communicate with one another.” For imaging themselves to be more expert on mental health than psychiatrists and psychologists, and for letting their own mental health issues get so far away from them, Representatives Nancy Mace and Ronny Jackson get a TWIT.
