New Hampshire state Representative Alice Wade is transgender. She is running for re-election, and she says that state Representative Heath Howard, a fellow Democrat, pressured her to drop out of her race, on the grounds that her gender identity would cost her votes. In February, Alysa Liu won the gold medal in figure skating. This week, a web site named Reduxx ran a story with the headline, “Olympic Figure Skater’s Brother Quietly Racks Up Wins In Girls’ Sports.” Jaylin Liu, who shares the same father but different surogate mothers, apparently has had an impressive level of athletic success. For deliberate misgendering and apparent deadnaming, Reduxx gets a TWIT. This story cocmes from LGBTQ Nation.
Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani let his mouth run on and on, in opposition to current Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s proposal for pre-Kindergarten child care. He noted that the proposal includes children as young as 6 months old, and asked, “What the hell is he going to teach them at 5 months old? How to hate the parents, that’s what he’s going to teach them. ‘Hey, did you ever think of being a girl, kid?'” The comment got more graphic from there. For pretending that the schools are pushing a gender identity on a student, and for the implication that transgender students are just acting up to get back at their parents, Rudy Giuliani gets a TWIT.
