Have any of you ladies had this happen – you’re out and about looking pretty and you run into someone who knows your “drab” self. They say something to you – generic conversation, nothing specific – so you can’t tell if they recognize you or not.

I had this happen twice in the past 2 weeks. I “handled” it by walking away after a muttered comment

Curious to hear how others handle this.

I have never actually been confronted. I saw them coming and I turned and almost ran Got away quickly anyway. I honestly don’t know what I would do. Probably admit I’m a crossdress and it is something I do on occasion when time and space permit. That I find it fun to get made up and wander the womens section in the department stores.
Good luck if it happens again

Breastplates look great when you finally wrestle it on, you need lots of talc which inevitably gets on your clothing as you dress, once you have it on they become extremely warm and the talc turns to a sort of slurry. When you get home an want to remove it, it’s like wrestling with a python. I had one from Roanya with silicone filling, it lasted a short time before I gave up and put it in the back of my wardrobe. Im sure others have the sacrifice for the look but I didnt.

juliemichelleshaw, I live with the possibility of running into people who know the drab me all the time. I live in a condo which has 12 units sharing a single building access that is a breezeway. I get dressed at home (yes, my wife know about Gwen before we got married). Whenever I leave the condo, I run the risk of running into one or more of my neighbors before I get into my car. When that happens, if they choose to recognize me from drab, I’ll carry pleasantries, ask them to address me by Gwen when I look like this, otherwise, be my normal pleasant self. I’m similar when I’m running around doing errands as Gwen. I don’t go to many places where I would run into co-workers or others, but I expect I would handle it the same way. I hope this helps.

BWW, it’s more accepted now than ir was a decade ago.

    Hi Alicia Marie,

Sadly Espy passed away in June of this year but Classic Curves is still in business. Espy’s wife Anna is running it with some other employees. I did a post on my website in June which is when you sent your item back. Here is a link

if you want details on her passing .

I would reach out again now that things have probably settled down a bit.

This “Cross dresser Corner” is American, very far from the war in Europe, for this I would like to make known at first the situation of Ukrainian transsexual people, who have many difficulties to ask for asylum in Europe, especially in Poland, ultra-catholic country.

Across the Border, Russia, overseas enemy, has become a forbidden country for trans people: in Russia a transgender person not only cannot guide a car (…), being called “mental patients, suffering from a disorder of personality or identity”. But a law, signed yesterday by Putin, prohibits the only “speaking” of trans and homosexuality among people.

In addition, Putin mobilized 300,000 reservists for the war against Ukraine. In which, many M to F, who are fleeing. (I’m in contact with a Russian transsexual girl)

Patriarch’s policy Kirill towards LGBT+ people are not very different from Islamic extremists. Orthodox Russia, of Kirill and Putin, seems increasingly like an Islamic state.

I realize there is probably no answer to this question, but here goes anyway.

Why is it more acceptible for a gay guy who comes out than for a straight guy who cross dresses?

I’m Krissi and i am new to this forum but not new to crossdressing although i believe my being the sole survivor if a firefight in Iraq in 2007 (three of my strike team members were killed and our Lt. took his own life 16 month later) brought me out of the closet since i’m living on borrowed time (i should have died that day too. i might as well live it on my terms. i’m the drummer and chief song writer for a ptsd therapy band “Me In Disguise” and veterans advocate i also host a syndicated hard/metal radio show “The Radio TakeOver Weekly Top 2o CountDown” and have escorted far to many of our fallen to they’re final resting place in lue of family who cant be there or cant be found. i recently did a comedy tour at vfw halls to raise funds for the halls and the national fvw and will be doing another “Chris Chasse~do what you want to the girl but leave me alone 2023” starting in feb 2023.

I’ll start this post by saying that I’m a large person. My bra size is 50-52 (obviously, cup size is what I purchase), waist is 54-56, hips about the same. I have a lot of trouble finding a men’s suit that fits me. Since my neck measures 19 1/2, and I carry a lot of my weight in my tummy, I have trouble finding dress shirts that aren’t splitting at the buttons. Forget jeans that fit.

On the other hand, I can easily find acceptable jeans at Lane Bryant. I can find dresses and separates at both Lane Bryant and Torrid that fit me well. I work in a very conservative area so I can’t easily send Gwen to the office or to work functions. (no matter how much I want to wear that LBD to the holiday party.)

I just wanted to vent; thanks for listening.
