Time For The Monday Edition
It’s time for our new content to hit the Web. We do it every Monday, without fail. Today we bring you our potent distillation of transgender news, assembled by our News Editor Ronnie Rho, that we call TWIT. That stands for The Week In Transgenderism. This week Ronnie has culled the finest stories and assembled them all for you. She’s got the story of the TG high school girl who fought the sheriff’s department for the gratuitous inclusion of a drunken TG in an anti drunk driving video. She dug up a story on a British comic who dressed up as BeyoncĂ© for a show and pulled more birds, as they say there, than he did as a man. Ronnie has included crossdressing animals, transgender politicians, TG activists fighting the system, and a whole lot more. Don’t miss your TWIT!
This week we welcome a former contributor back to the fold. Dallas Denny, a major figure in the transgender community for a long while has returned to TGForum. Dallas was the founder of the American Educational Gender Information Service (AEGIS), editor of Chrysalis journal, editor of Transgender Tapestry and an important part of many other things in the TG world. To learn more about Dallas, and get a hint about what a cool person she is, read her piece in today’s edition called Twenty Years On. Then check out her first post for TGF about virtual personae and how they have been used online since the days of Compuserve and dial up. You’ll even get to see her Second Life avatar. Don’t miss Virtual Personae.
Also on deck today is our northern correspondent, Linda Jensen. Linda relates another tale of an adventure she had while visiting Manhattan. She meets a man in an unusual manner while she is checking out the sale racks at Macy’s. Bargains and a boyfriend? Don’t miss Linda’s contribution today and find out how she met the guy and where it went from there. Read Encounter on 34th Street.
That’s our Monday Edition for Monday, March 7, 2011. Remember to tell your friends TGF is free but it’s register to read. Enjoy!
