Mean while the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld Alabama’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors. San Francisco has declares itself a safe haven for transgender and nonbinary individuals. Judge Reed O’Connor in Texas issued a temporary injunction against the Biden administration’s interpretation that Title IX protects transgender students. Lia Thomas has lost her challenge to the policy of World Aquatics which prevents transgender females from competing as women in swimming. The U.S. House of Representatives approves a defense appropriation bill which bans gender-affirming care being paid for by the Pentagon. The bill also bans drag shows on the base.
