Trans man musician/songwriter Ryan Cassata has a beef with American Idol. Cassata auditioned last year and did not make the cut. Now, with the rise in publicity for trans issues, Cassata was offered the chance to advance to a producer level audition for the new season. He could have gone past the first phases of auditions but he turned them down. Find out why Cassata told American Idol to leave him alone in this exclusive interview conducted by Pamela DeGroff.
